We suggest that you look at the 4 Stages of Art Teacher experience and see which path applies to you. Based on your selection, we suggest specific training videos and art bundles that will help you get up and running quickly.
From there, you have many options: Follow our EPIC done-for-you art curriculum, Art History Curriculum (ATTA), or the Global Art Passport Curriculum (GAP) or choose lessons based on a theme-based unit.
The EPIC curriculum uses the Elements of Art and Principles of Design to help children build their art skills throughout the grade levels and throughout the year. The lessons are rich with I Can Statements, Assessments, Core Standards, in-class Kahoot quizzes, Sketchbooks, and Slide Decks.
The ATTA curriculum is based on a timeline of art history from the early prehistoric days to modern times. It features both contemporary and master artists, female and male artists, and a variety of cultures and countries. It highlights art movements throughout 10 unique bundles. This curriculum is excellent for the new teacher or volunteers as it contains teaching videos for every lesson.
Global Art Passport (GAP) Curriculum is a done-for-you roadmap for teaching young artists about the unique and amazing world we live in through fun and engaging lessons. The curriculum is for grades K-7 and is organized into 7 lesson bundles. Each region-focused bundle contains 15 standards-based lesson plans (2 each for K-6, plus 1 lesson plan for 7th grade). Each lesson has an accompanying slide deck to help students explore a region of the world and learn important art elements and principles. The GAP Curriculum includes teaching resources such as worksheets, individual passports, book lists, supply lists, region fact sheets, classroom decor packs, posters and special needs adaptations.
You can also elect your own projects from a variety of art themes and techniques: clay, fiber arts, science, literature, geography, countries, earth sciences, and famous artists.
We open the doors to the public twice a year in January and August to join The Sparklers’ Club. We celebrate the enrollments in a BIG way offering plenty of opportunities to tour the membership, take part in free workshops and see if the membership is the right fit for you.
During the months we don’t have enrollment, we focus on creating content and supporting our current Sparklers. Occasionally we have VIP enrollments throughout the year offered only to our waitlist members. Click HERE to join the waitlist.
There are a variety of Trainings inside the membership. For every art training, you will receive a certificate for 1 clock hour. It is up to you to determine if the PD certificate is validated in your school district.
The Sparklers’ Club Community group is a private, members-only Facebook group built for connection and conversation. You will see how members use the lessons inside the membership and modify them to fit their own needs. You can tag Team Sparkle in your questions, watch live videos from the team, participate in group polls and discussions, and share your student artwork with us.
